Morning Wake-Up


Are you worried about something today? How does worrying about it make you feel?


When I worry about things, I typically have a sense or a feeling that that things is never going to be fixed. Like it’s a permanent problem in my life. Like there is no possible solution to fix it.


This is the exact opposite of what God wants us to do with our worries and our stresses. He wants us to bring him our worries. To tell Him about them and release them from our brain. To trust that He is working on them and that He will work all things out for our good.


This is not usually a one and done thing, especially if we are in the habit of worrying. So what does it look like?


When you recognize you are worrying about something, pray. Tell God what you are worried about and why and ask Him to work the situation out. When the worry comes up again, repent. Tell God you are sorry for letting this worry you again and proclaim the Word over your situation by speaking it out loud again saying ‘I trust that you are working all things out for my good and your glory,’ ‘Lord I don’t see a way, but you are a way maker and you make a way where there is no way.’ Help me to trust in you
Every time that worry pops back up, repeat this process. You will find that it comes back less over time.
